New online carbon calculator for tracking building projects
Architects Faithful+Gould have released a free online carbon calculator for the construction industry.
The calculator allows project managers and developers to evaluate the sustainable options for their projects, right from the initial design stages.
It is currently being used by the Department for Children, Schools and Families on the design of new schools.
Faithful+Gould director Sean Lockie said:”We have made this tool available to everyone in a bid to boost the green credentials of the industry, as too often carbon saving initiatives are dropped from projects because they have not been properly budgeted for at the beginning.”
